Community:
Waterford is located in Western Racine County, in Southeast Wisconsin. It has a population of approximately 6,000 with a service population of about 22,000. Waterford is located along the beautiful Fox River in between Milwaukee and Chicago.
Qualifications:
A master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program, four (4) years of progressively responsible library experience, one (1) year of which shall have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity are required. Applicants must have a Grade 1 Wisconsin Library Certification or be eligible for such certification.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are highly preferred. While not required, residing in or near our community is preferred to facilitate a close connection with our patrons and local partners.
Salary:
The hiring salary range is $60,000-$80,000 commensurate with experience. Some evenings and weekends will be required. A generous benefit package includes health and dental insurance, PTO and holidays, plus enrollment in the Wisconsin Retirement System.

Waterford Public Library
Part-Time Position Available
Cleaner/Janitorial Position
After Hours (Evenings and Weekends)
6 – 8 hours per week
Waterford Public Library is currently accepting applications for a cleaner. The purpose of this position is to perform routine cleaning, and the duties include collecting garbage and recycling, sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, wiping down desks, computer areas, and tables, watering plants, restocking bathrooms with necessary supplies, cleaning bathrooms, and keeping the janitor’s closet orderly, in addition to other responsibilities.
The work schedule is after business hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, in order to ensure the least possible disruption of work routines and patron activity in the library.
Cleaning experience is a plus. The successful candidate will be able to follow detailed instructions and quickly and efficiently carry out cleaning tasks according to a schedule with minimal supervision. Furthermore, applicants must be physically capable of lifting 30 pounds and pushing 50 pounds. The wage is commensurate with experience.
