Celebrate the hot summer days with an ice cream treat! Each person in your group will receive one ice cream treat when checking out any item from the library. Available while supplies last. Tuesday, July 30 from 9am – 8pm.

Tammy and Casey, two of the library’s therapy dogs, will be here for you to meet! Their trainers will be on hand to teach us about training a therapy dog. Dog-themed activities will be available too! No registration required. Monday, July 29 at 10:00.

Still trying to decide on the best preschool or 4K experience for your child? Stop in at the Preschool Open House at the library on Friday, July 26 from 9:30 – 11:00. Toys and blocks will be available for your child to play with while you meet the teachers and directors of area preschool and 4K programs. Learn what they have to offer and which would be the best fit for your family!

In honor of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, come watch the original broadcast of the launch on the big screen! Snacks will be served. Dress in your 60’s best for the event! Monday, July 22 at 6:00pm.

Teens are invited to register for this event set up like an escape room! Teens will go on a mission throughout the library. Spies will be given clues to decode and follow in order to crack the case! Pizza will be served. Grand prize winners will be announced. Door prizes will be available, too! Registration required. Ages 12 and up. Friday, July 19 from noon to 2pm.

Celebrate summer reading at Village Hall Park with trucks, a bounce house, a dunk tank, Oberweis Dairy, face painting, hot dogs and more! Grand prize winners will be notified by phone prior to this event. Prizes will be available for pick up during this event. Wednesday, July 17 from 5 – 7 pm.
